vbScores LLC ("vbScores," "we," "us," or "our") operates the vbScores mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and the authentication method you use (email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In). You may optionally provide a phone number, profile photo, and role-specific information.

1.2 Player & Recruiting Profiles

Player profiles may include graduation year, position, height, club affiliation, highlight videos, and athletic statistics. This information is provided voluntarily and displayed according to your privacy settings.

1.3 Tournament & Match Data

We collect match scores, statistics, rotation data, substitution records, and other information generated through scorekeeping. Tournament directors provide tournament details, schedules, and team assignments.

1.4 Usage & Device Data

We automatically collect device information, app interactions, crash logs, and approximate location (for tournament discovery). We use Firebase Analytics for app performance monitoring and Google AdMob for serving advertisements to free-tier users.

1.5 Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store credit card numbers. We receive purchase confirmation and subscription status through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service, including live scoring, tournament management, and team features
• Process subscriptions and manage your account
• Enable recruiting features connecting players with college coaches (NCAA-compliant)
• Send push notifications for followed teams and tournaments
• Display relevant advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Enforce USA Volleyball rules compliance within the scoring system

3. Information Sharing

We share information with the following third-party services:

Premium subscribers do not see advertisements, so AdMob data collection does not apply to paid users. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL. Data at rest in Firebase is encrypted using Google Cloud's default encryption. We implement Firebase Security Rules to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to view.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized match scores and tournament records may be retained for historical purposes. Backup copies are purged within 90 days.

6. Your Rights

• Access: View your data in Profile settings or request a copy by contacting us.
• Correction: Update your profile information at any time through the app.
• Deletion: Delete your account via Profile → Settings → Privacy Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing privacy@vbscores.com. See our Account Deletion page for full details.
• Opt-Out: Manage push notifications in device settings. Opt out of personalized ads via your device advertising settings.

7. Children's Privacy

vbScores is designed for volleyball community members including youth players. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Player profiles for minors should be created with parental involvement through Family Plan accounts. Parents may review, modify, or delete their child's information by contacting us. We comply with COPPA requirements.

8. California Privacy Rights

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@vbscores.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
